My name is Alisha, and I am so stinking excited you're here!! Thank you so much for stopping by and wanting to know a little bit more about me.
Growing up my cousins called me the bossy one. For whatever reason I liked telling people what to do. I carried this role into adulthood and was quickly labeled “Mother hen” by a lot of Brandon’s friends. So I’ve learned to embrace the term and just know that I’m always going to be the one looking out for you, for your best interest, and making sure you’re gonna stay out of trouble. I’m competitive by nature, but when it comes to being creative and helping others grow I truly believe in community over competition. I'm the type of person that has a hard time asking for help. I like to think I’m superwoman and I can do it all by myself even though it’s highly unlikely. I’ve learned that it’s better to take care of myself FIRST so I can better take care of other people.
I love hanging out with my husband, Brandon. I kinda of like him. A lot. We've been married since 12-4-10 (best.day.ever). We have three precious little girls, Cadence Joyce, Dakota Rose and Emerson Jean who are our biggest blessings in life. And since having my baby girls, I've come to realize how important it is to capture images of your sweet bundle of joy early on because they are never that tiny ever again! They go from newborn to baby in just a month's time.
We just finished remodeling our new home, and are excited about making it ours. I'm addicted to coffee, and I'm the type that drinks it all times throughout the day - cream & sugar, please! Sometimes even at 9 o'clock at night. ;) I'd love to have you over to our house and get to know you over a cup of coffee!
Most days you'll find me lounging around our house in yoga pants with a messy bun and probably no make-up on (gasp!) and binge watching the Food Network. Love me some Beat Bobby Flay, The Kitchen and Chopped. But I love serving the world with my God-given talent and capturing memories for generations to come!
How I Got Started...
As far back as I can remember I have always loved photography, but not in the context of where I am now! It was more like I loved taking pictures, so I printed them and ended up scrap-booking and saving them that way. And I didn't grow up dreaming of becoming a photographer, in fact, I actually wanted to be a veterinarian. But life has a funny way of changing through the years, and after changing my major oh about three times I ended up graduating from Texas A&M University with a bachelors in Horticulture in 2010.
Over the years I have truly found a love and joy from photography, and I pray that my passion for shooting shines through my work. I have been shooting professionally since 2012. I have quite a bit of experience under my belt, but I am always striving to better my talents. It's my hope to give you an experience that you will remember for many years to come and of course, some fabulous images to boot. I would absolutely love to take YOUR pictures!
